Digital tree trail

Lovers of the beautiful collection of trees in the Botanical Gardens will soon be able to follow a digital tour, which will take visitors on a trail of some of the finest specimens. Volunteers Susan Turner and Kay Keeton are using their knowledge of the Gardens’ sylviculture to choose, photograph and describe a selection of trees from around the site.

Using the same www.izi.travel platform as our successful Wildlife Tour, the trail will be available as an audio tour and as a series of written descriptions and photos. You will be able to follow the whole tour using your smart phone, or just pick out one or two trees that interest you and visit them. You will even be able to enjoy the whole tour on your computer from the comfort of home! Watch this space for more news.
