Don Witton ‘Flower Power Plus, Plus, Plus!’ Live lecture

This talk and all our lectures are FREE for Friends of the Botanical Gardens to attend. Members of the public are also welcome to join us on payment of £5 at the door on the day. Live talks are held in the Education Centre in the grounds of the Botanical Gardens - easily accessed via the Thompson Road Entrance.

Perfect for this time of year when our gardens can be short on colour, this talk is stuffed with flowers in every shade, shape and colour. Thousands of flowers will be seen in this talk. Whether it's masses of tiny flowers, giant colourful blooms, long long flowering periods, stunning wildflower scenes, there are images from every season which will leave you amazed and uplifted with the power of flowers.

Don is a retired schoolteacher with a passion for hardy herbaceous perennial plants in general and Euphorbias in particular. He has been a keen gardener for over 40 years and is actively involved in four national garden charities - the Hardy Plant Society, Royal Horticultural Society, Plant Heritage and the National Gardens Scheme.

He has held a National Plant Collection of hardy Euphorbias for 25 years.
