Special Film Screening
As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we have arranged a special screening of ‘The Felling’, which gives a first-hand account of how people in Sheffield undertook a tireless campaign to stop the destruction of the city's healthy street trees and help save the planet. Taking place on 30th June, this is a ticket-only event.
The film documents how citizens from 18-90 years old took on the Council and their contractors, and were faced with a court injunction threatening the peaceful protesters with bankruptcy and imprisonment.
The Felling shows just how far people were prepared to go to defend their trees. The film has a 12A certificate.
The screening takes place on Sunday 30th June at 2pm in the Dorothy Fox Education Centre in the Gardens. Tickets are £5 which includes the film screening and light refreshments. Places are limited and are being restricted to two tickets per person. Please bring your ticket email with you. If you are unable to attend, please try to find someone to take your place.
Book your place at www.ticketsource.co.uk/booking/t-avmvymm (booking charges apply). Telephone bookings can be made direct with Ticket Source on 0333 666 3366 - extra charges will apply for tickets sent by post.
