Heritage Open Days

We’re running two events this year for Heritage Open Days, both linked with our partner site at Sheffield General Cemetery.

Join us on Tuesday 14th September at 1pm for a free tour of the Gardens in the imagined world of an apothecary’s apprentice, and learn about the healing properties of cultivated trees & plants. Among the Cemetery’s events for Heritage Open Days, you can complete a complementary self-guided trail on woodland cures and foraging folk remedies.

Later in the week, on Friday 17th, we’re returning to the Dorothy Fox Education Centre in the Gardens for the first time in 18 months, to offer a free in-person lecture on the Gardens’ creator Robert Marnock, followed by guided tours of the Gardens and the Cemetery, where he also worked. Check out our website entry for details of how we are planning to mitigate the risk of Covid transmission in the Education Centre.
