Our first trip of 2024 will be a walk amongst the nodding snowdrops at Highfield House, Wingfield Rd, Oakerthorpe, Alfreton, DE55 7AP.
This is a self-drive trip; Friends are asked to indicate if they can provide a lift for those who have no means of transport. The tour of the gardens will start at 11am followed by lunch.
Highfield House is part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS). It is a country garden (approx 1 acre) and includes a woodland, orchard and pond. Please be aware there are some steps, slopes and gravel paths. The walk will take approx 50mins.
Total cost is £12 per person and includes home made soup, fresh baked bread plus refreshments round the AGA.
